Renovation on Carrer Maria Cristina 10, Tarragona

From the moment we first visited this apartment, we could immediately see its potential. Although compact, its corner position, high ceilings and abundance of natural light offered the perfect foundation for a complete transformation through a full renovation and a more open, functional layout.

We removed unnecessary partitions to create a spacious open-plan living area where the lounge, dining room and kitchen flow naturally together. The entire design revolves around maximising light and creating a greater sense of space despite the apartment’s modest size.

The original hydraulic tile flooring was too badly damaged to preserve underfoot, but we wanted to honour its history. Instead, we incorporated selected tiles as a decorative feature on one of the walls, preserving their colours and patterns as a tribute to the apartment’s past.
