Renovation on Carrer Cavallers 1, Tarragona

Historic apartments with high ceilings, timber beams and original hydraulic tile floors often present a fascinating design challenge.

For this project, we completely rethought the layout, allowing us to introduce a second full bathroom without compromising the apartment’s original character. Features such as the original archway, hydraulic flooring and traditional openings were carefully preserved, resulting in a brighter, more spacious and significantly more functional home that successfully balances history with contemporary comfort.
